An entrepreneurship programme for female and BAME founders.

The OneTech team found that of all funds raised by European VC- backed companies in 2018, 91% went to white, male founding teams. OneTech’s aim therefore is to drive conversation, communities and action to change the face of start-ups. Champion were approached to develop a brand and related assets, connecting with the female and BAME talent and laying the foundations for the ‘diversity in tech’ programme for 2020 and beyond.

The identity was co-created with key stakeholders through research-led brand identity workshops. Knowing that diversity and representation were integral to the brand, we carefully balanced the aesthetics and verbal identity – ‘changing the face of start-ups’ to champion game changing tech founders.

Since the brand’s launch OneTech has supported 2,000+ SMEs, 3,500+ entrepreneurs, raised £15M worth of funding in its first year, and is now on a mission to spread its ethos of changing the name of start-ups even further.

“Champion helped us work out the way we present ourselves to a diverse audience and our name. The process exemplified our approach and gave us the tools we needed to successfully launch.”
