London Design Festival

Co-creating with the local Brixton community

What we did
Brand design
Brand campaign

A celebration of London as the design capital of the world.

With The Brixton Design Trail becoming the eighth district in the London Design Festival, a call out was made to create a memorable piece of design that is indigenous to Brixton and amplifies its unique character within London.

The Peoples Posters project was a platform for the public to tell us what they think of Great Brixton. We listened to the people and visually interpreted their answers, before designing and printing them as fly posters.

We pasted the posters in public, both legally and illegally and in keeping with the years Rebel, Rebel theme. But unlike a traditional advertising campaign, the only thing we were selling were the people of Brixton’s thoughts.

We received hundreds of submissions and the People’s Posters campaign featured across local press, the London Design Festival magazine and praised by Italian Vogue for bringing the community into the creative conversation.

“THE PEOPLE’S POSTERS AMPLIFY BRIXTON, AND THE QUOTES HIGHLIGHT HOW VIBRANT THE COMMUNITY IS.”
